A lot of people like to pretend that barbecuing is complex and difficult to master. It’s not. The key to great barbecue is knowing your cuts of meat and the best way to cook them.

Also, a lot of people try to say that you just can’t make good barbecue on a cheap barbecue pit. You don’t need to go out and spend two thousand dollars on some high end professional smoker. Needless to say, it’ll make it a lot easier to start a catering business, but you’ll do just fine without it cooking for your family. I cook everything on this website on an offset smoker that I picked up at Home Depot for $299.
